CPO - Certified Pool Operators Class
June 22-23
Location: Henderson, KY
Event Information: This certification provides pool and maintenance staff the information on how to better operate commercials pools, water chemistry, pumps, and filters. In KY and IL this certification is required by state lay. No matter where you are this class will help you better manage pools. To meet the KY and IL state legal statutes all public pools require a certified pool operator. Without an operator on staff you pool is not in compliance with KY or IL state swimming and bathing statues and may be vulnerable to fines and closure.

Availability: The classroom capacity 12 students, and we will fill the class on a first come basis. Minimum number of students needed: 10. No refunds will be given for cancellations after June 1st, 2022.
Fees: $350.00–Course Fee includes the 2022 CPO book, CPO instruction, test, PHTA fees, etc.
Time: Registration starts at 8:00 am on Wednesday June 22 and 7:30 on Thursday June 23. Class time for Wednesday is 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and Thursday is 8:00 am to 4:00pm. All times are central.

Water Safety Instructor
WSI course trains instructor candidates to teach all of the courses presented in the Swimming and Water Safety program to all age groups; all of the courses listed above, plus Learn-to-Swim Levels 4-6 and Adult Swim. This certification is the gold standard and provides the most comprehensive training for swim instructors.
Lifeguard Instructor Course – LGI
The purpose of the instructor course is to train instructor candidates to teach the Red Cross Lifeguarding, Shallow Water Lifeguarding, Waterfront Skills, Waterpark Skills, CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers, Administering Emergency Oxygen and Bloodborne Pathogens Training: Preventing Disease Transmission courses and/or modules.

Maintenance & Playground Maintenance Workshops
Maintenance and Turf maintenance
workshops are geared toward parks personnel who are maintaining parks and ballfields on a daily basis. Educational sessions, hands on demonstrations and vendors will be on site to answer questions for parks professionals. Playground Workshops will give attendees knowledge of how to properly maintain safe playgrounds.
