Jones Family Log Cabin (originally built in 1821)
Originally located less than 2 miles from Yellow Creek Park this log cabin was dedicated in the Jim Lambert Pioneer Village at the park on Saturday, June 1st with members of the Jones family. Including with the history of this cabin was the documented history of a Revolutionary War solider who lived with his son who actually constructed the cabin in east Daviess County, KY. This is the third log cabin reconstructed in the Pioneer Village over the last 18 years and includes two log barns as well as a fully operational blacksmith's shop. 92 year old Ruth Harrison joined the festivities as the last of the Jones descendant to be born in the cabin and also married. 5 generations of Jones family called the location home.
